PROGRAM SETTING
• When the timer is plugged in the timer's dial will turn clockwise. The arrow on the face of the
dial points to the current time of day.
• The timer comes with all pins in the down position. On this
model, up represents “OFF” and down represents “ON”. Be
sure all segments are pulled up before programming. Select a
time period (or periods) you want the lights turned on, then
push down ALL the segments that fall on or within that time
period. Each pin represents 30 minutes with 2 pins
representing 1 hour. For example, to have the timer turn lights
on at 10 PM and off at 2 AM, push down the segments
representing 10PM and 2 AM, and ALL the segments in
between. See Figure 1. You may need to turn the dial
clockwise to access the desired segments.
Figure 1 shows timer set to turn lights ON at 10PM and OFF at 2
AM. Notice ALL segments between 10 PM and 2 AM have been
pushed down. Current time is 9:00 PM.
NOTE: All 6 outlets controlled by timer.
1. Remove protective CDS sticker (if applicable) from photo cell.
2. Attach Stake (B) to Lamp Holder (A) by inserting stake (B) into base of lamp holder (A) and
twisting clockwise until secure (Figure 1). Do not over-tighten.
3. Properly seat Gasket (C) by making sure the lip edge of the Lamp Holder (A) is inserted into the
slot on the inside of the rubber Gasket (C).
4. Install PAR lamp into lamp socket. Twist clockwise. Do not over-tighten. Use only a 150-watt
maximum PAR reflector lamp (bulb). (See ‘INSTALLING OR REPLACING LAMPS below)
5. Plug Garden Stake Light into outdoor rated, GCI protected outlet.
DUSK-to-DAWN OPERATION
1. Garden Stake Light will come ON at dusk and go OFF at dawn automatically.
2. To insure Garden Stake Light functions correctly, make sure photo cell is not exposed to any direct
light – such as a street or porch light. Such light will keep Garden Stake Light from turning ON.
INSTALLING OR REPLACING LAMPS
• WARNING: Unplug the Garden Stake Light for at least 10 minutes and allow fixture to cool down
prior to replacing lamps (bulb).
• When replacing the lamp (bulb), only a 150 watt maximum PAR reflector lamp (bulb). Never use a
lamp (bulb) with a higher wattage than the stated maximum allowed on the fixture. Using a
higher wattage lamp may cause a fire hazard and/or damage to the unit.
