See Figure 7-2.
To adjust the saw head tilt, use the bolts located at the bottom of the saw
head mast. Loosen the three sets of four retaining plate bolts. To raise the outside of the
saw head, back the stop bolts out, then tighten the adjustment bolts. To lower the outside
of the saw head, loosen the adjustment bolts and tighten the stop bolts. Recheck the
measurement from the blade to the bed rails and adjust the stop bolts and adjustment
bolts until the outside of the saw head is 1/16" (1.5mm) higher than the inside. Retighten
the retaining plate bolts.
Blade Guide Arm Alignment
The blade guide arm moves the outer blade guide in and out. If the arm becomes loose,
the blade guide will not deflect the blade properly, causing inaccurate cuts. A loose blade
guide arm can also cause blade vibration.
1.
Adjust the blade guide arm in to 1/2" (13 mm) from fully closed.
2.
Manually try to move the arm up and down. If you can move the arm by hand, you will
need to tighten the arm rollers.
