SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•
Wear proper apparel. Never let loose clothing or
other flammable materials come in contact with the
elements while in operation. Fabric may ignite and
result in personal injury.
•
Use only dry pot holders when removing pans
from the cooktop. Wet or damp pot holders on hot
surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let
pot holders touch hot heating elements.
•
Select cookware of the proper size, material and
construction for the particular type of cooking
being done. This unit is equipped with heating
elements of different size. Refer to element rating
on pages 6–7.
•
Always turn pan handles inward so they do not
extend over adjacent work areas, heating elements
or edges of cooktop to reduce the risk of burns,
ignition of flammable materials and spillage due to
unintentional contact with pan. Do not turn handles
toward the room, where they may be bumped or
easily hit.
