Hydraulic System
The changing interval of hydraulic oil may be determined by operational duty cycle, operating
conditions and local maintenance schedule.

MPORTANT
:
It is recommended to change the hydraulic oil at least once a year or when contaminated.

MPORTANT
:
Hydraulic oil must be replaced at least once a year.
To do so:
1.
Empty the hydraulic tank (see

Clean the strainer (if necessary) (see

With a clean dry cloth, remove all metal particles and debris accumulated at the bottom of the
hydraulic tank.
Insert your hand inside the tank through the opening left by the removal of the strainer and clean
the interior.

Put back the strainer.

Change the return filter element (see

Using a filtering screen, refill the tank with high-quality oil until it reaches the ¾ mark on the oil
gauge (see
on page 31 for specifications).
The entire system will require between 50 and 60 gallons of oil.
7.
If the suction line has been replaced, fill the line until oil reaches the pump.
8.
Reinstall the filler cap and fully open the ball valve (or shut-off valve).
Caution!
Highly contaminated hydraulic fluid must be changed promptly to avoid damaging the
hydraulic system.
Caution!
It is not recommended to mix different brands and/or grades of oil in the hydraulic tank.
Caution!
Failure to open the ball valve (or shut-off valve) may seriously damage the pump and the
hydraulic system.
