Exhaust Valve

Disassemble

2.1

Valve Drive

−

Disassemble

1) Place the exhaust valve on wooden underlay (HU) in vertical position.
2) Loosen and remove the head bolts (3,

3) Loosen the screws (30,

) and remove transmitter housing (29) and valve

stroke sensor (28).

4) Lift the valve drive housing (2, Fig. 1) and remove it using eye bolt (RC).

2.2

Valve Spindle

−

Removal

1) Remove the circlip (7,

).

2) Push the piston (4) away from valve cotters (6), then remove the latter.
3) Withdraw the piston from the valve spindle (11).
4) Remove the disc springs (14).
5) Carefully lift the valve cage (1) by means of the engine room crane. Ensure that the

valve spindle always stands on the wooden underlay while the valve cage is sliding

out.

2.3

Guide Bush

−

Removal

1) Undo the head screws (18, Fig. 3), remove them together with distance ring (16)

and rod seal ring (17).

2) Screw both jack screws (94263, Fig. 4) into the flange of guide bush (15) until the

latter can be lifted off.

3) Check and measure inner diameter of the guide bush according to
