Replacement of the Elastic Bolts

When fitting a new elastic bolt (in the following text called bolt for short) of the cylinder

cover or exhaust valve cage, the instructions hereafter must be strictly observed.
Before fitting the bolt, clean and degrease the joint surface respectively sealing face.
If recommended by the jointing compound manufacturer, apply an adhesive primer in

order to improve the adhesion on the joint surface.

CAUTION

Damage Hazard: Do not apply adhesive primer and any lubricant

to the thread. Damage to equipment will occur.

1) Screw in the bolt right to the bottom and until it rests on its seating surface.
2) Tighten the bolt according to instructions

using always a bolt driver or two

counter locked nuts.

CAUTION

Damage Hazard: Tools eg pipe wrenches or multigrip tongs, etc.

which would cause damages to the shank of the bolt must never

be used. Damage to equipment will occur.

3) Fill the annular space completely up to the rim with jointing compound.
