8.2 Activating the device
NOTICE! Rotating field monitoring and motor current monitoring are only available
in the Wilo-Control EC-Booster!
NOTICE
Integrated rotating field monitoring
The switchgear is equipped with rotating field monitoring. The monitoring functions
only operate without faults for three-phase current connections with a clockwise
rotating field. If the mains connection has a counter-clockwise rotating field, the er-
ror code “E006” will appear on the display on activation.
NOTICE
Error message during operation with alternating current connection
The “Control EC-Booster” switchgear is equipped with rotating field monitoring and
motor current monitoring. Both monitoring functions are activated at the factory
and only operate without issues for a three-phase current connection. If the
switchgear is used for an alternating current connection, the following error mes-
sages are shown in the display:
• Rotating field monitoring: Error code “E006”
⇒ To switch off rotating field monitoring: Select “off” in Menu 5.68!
• Motor current monitoring: Error code “E080.x”
⇒ To switch off motor current monitoring: Select “off” in Menu 5.69!
▶ Monitoring functions are deactivated. The switchgear now functions without prob-
lems when using an alternating current connection.
NOTICE
Observe the error code on the display
If the red fault LED lights up or flashes, observe the error code on the display! If the
error has been confirmed, the previous error will be stored in menu 6.02.

switching point has been correctly set.

Motor protection is preset according to the pump data (“Control EC-Booster”
only).
1. Turn the main switch to the “ON” position.
2. Switchgear starts.
All LEDs light up for 2 s.
– The display illuminates and the start screen appears.
- The standby symbol appears in the display.
▶ The switchgear is ready for operation. Start the initial configuration or automatic
mode.
