– Mount pilot lamp PL51 as follows. Thread the large mounting nut on the pilot lamp and
run down to the base of the threads. Place the lock washer provided on the shaft. Mount
the pilot lamp to the chassis/panel and secure with the decorative nut provided. Find the
neon lamp cartridge and insert it in the fixture. Secure with the trim nut.
– Mount the power switch (SW51) to the front panel as follows. Unscrew the push-button
from the device. Remove the mounting nut and washer from the shaft of the switch.
Mount the switch to the chassis/panel, add the flat washer, and secure using the nut
provided. Tighten. Note the connection terminals on the switch. The center screw terminal
should face downward toward the chassis bottom plate.
– Using caution to not scratch the finish, tighten the right and left channel volume control
mounting nuts. Be certain that the terminals face downward toward the chassis bottom
plate.
– Install the volume control knobs. Using a small common screwdriver, run the set screws
out so the knobs will fit on the shafts of the right channel and left channel volume controls.
Set the two potentiometers to their full counterclockwise positions. Place the knobs on the
shafts and set to the 7 o’clock position (approximately). Tighten the set screws.
The front panel components have been installed. The completed front panel is shown in
Figure 5.6.
5.4.2 Back Panel Components
Collect the back panel components, which include the following:
• Speaker output terminals (quantity = 2)
• Circuit breaker CB51
