3 PWB Design
Five printed wiring boards (PWB) are used for this amplifier—one power supply board, a PWB
for each audio channel, and a PWB for each speaker terminal. The wire connection codes are
given in Table 3.1 for the audio boards and Table 3.2 for the power supply. The overall
component layout for the main boards is shown in Figure 3.1. For this design, a ground plane is
used on the component side of the boards to reduce hum and noise.
Note that the color codes for the transformers listed in Table 3.1 and Table 3.2 may vary.
Consult the device manufacturer to be sure.
