Oven Vent
Coil element cooktop models:
The oven vent should not be blocked or covered since it allows
the release of hot air and moisture from the oven. Doing so will
cause poor air circulation, affecting cooking and cleaning results.
Never set plastics, paper, or other items that could melt or burn
near the oven vent.
On coil element models, the element can be used when the oven
is on as long as the cookware does not extend more than 1 in.
(2.5 cm) over the element.
Ceramic glass cooktop models:
The oven vent, located on the lower left side of the backguard on
free-standing ranges, or on the rear left side of the cooktop on
slide-in ranges, allows hot air and moisture to escape when the
oven is in use.

Slide-in range
Do not block the oven vent.
Poor baking/roasting may result.
Use warm soapy water to clean the vent.
Oven Door Vent
Hot air and moisture may escape from the door vent during
certain cooking modes. Some condensation may be observed
occasionally. This will not effect cooking performance.
Automatic Oven Light
(on some models)
The oven light will turn on automatically once the oven door is
opened, and will remain on while the door is open. Since it
functions separately from the electronic range control, the oven
does not need to be on for the light to come on.
The oven light may also be turned on using the manual switch
located on the control console.
Broil Pan Storage Rack
(on some models)
A handy rack has been designed at the top of the storage drawer
to hold the broiler pan and broiler pan grid.
