Cleaning and Hints
Before first Use
Remove all packing materials from the waffle maker. Clean all parts
of the unit before using the first time as described below under the
chapter Cleaning.
Operation
Position the waffle maker on a solid, level surface.
1. Plug the power plug into a properly grounded power socket for
preheating the waffle maker. We recommend switching on the
unit while you are preparing the waffle mixture. Preheating takes
approx. 3 minutes. General hints and recipes for making tasty
waffles are presented below.
2. The green indicator lamp (2) and the red indicator lamp (1) turn
on during the preheating phase. Start cooking waffles
only after
the green indicator lamp (1) turns off.
3. Brush some butter, margarine, fat or vegetable oil onto the
waffle-grids (4). Pour the waffle mixture
evenly over the bottom grid. Take care
that no mixture flows into the outer
edges.
4. Close the waffle maker with the lock. Do
not touch the housing of the waffle
maker during the baking process, as it is
hot. Also be aware of steam rising from
the cooking mixture, which can cause
burns.
5. Do not open the unit during the first
minute of operation. Golden brown
waffles take about 3 – 4 minutes.
6. Take the finished waffles out with a fork or similar tool. Take care
you do not damage the non-stick surface.
