Indicators
The My Book Elite drive has four indicators:

Capacity gauge
•
Customizable label
•
Power/activity LED
•
Lock indicator LED
Capacity Gauge.
The capacity gauge has ten segments that fill from bottom to top (if
the drive is vertical) or from right to left (if the drive is horizontal) to indicate space used
on the drive during the power-on state. Each segment represents approximately 10
percent of drive capacity:
The numerical display indicates the percentage of capacity available.
The capacity gauge only works if the WD SmartWare software is installed on your
computer.
