Safely Dismounting the Device Drives
Use the My Book VelociRaptor Duo Finder listing or desktop icon to safely dismount the
device drives:
1.
Right- or control-click the My Book VelociRaptor Duo Finder listing or desktop icon
and select
Eject “My Book VelociRaptor Duo”
:

If you have converted your device to individual drives, eject both the A and B
volumes.
You might hear the drives power down.
3.
Wait for the Finder listing or desktop icon to disappear before disconnecting the
device.
CAUTION!
To prevent data loss, close all active windows and applications before
shutting down or disconnecting the device drives.
