2.1 System 

Node

System Nodes are the front end of an ActiveScale system. They run a subset of the ActiveScale OS that 
handles the management path and parts of the data path. 
The single logical System Node is comprised of System Nodes in multiples of three. The three System 
Nodes are clustered and the services and databases they run must have a minimum membership present in 
order to function.

The information in this section will help you identify the components in a System Node.

Note: 

Newer versions of the System Node do not have a label above the LED 

panel.
