8.3 The modems always return “No carrier”
when trying to issue a communication
a) After s failed attempt (no carrier”), issue
AT+CEER
to have extended error cause
b) Is the received signal strong enough?
Use AT+CSQ commands to check that the signal is strong enough to establish
a connection.
• 1–10 Could be insufficient
• 11–33 Should be sufficient
• 99 Insufficient
c) Insure the selected bearer type is supported by the called party.
d) Then, insure the selected bearer type is supported by the network.
e) If no success, try bearer selection type: AT+CBST=0,0,3
f) Use the AT-command AT+GCAP to insure the SIM card is available for data/fax calls.
