6.32. Dump Hopper Chains

Depending on bin size, a bin may have one or two levels of dump hoppers. Lower dump hoppers are suspended
in pairs with a short chain connecting them together. This short chain is connected to eye bolts attached to the
bin rafters as well as to the lower lift plate (using another chain). Lifting the lift plates raises the dump hoppers.

Upper dump hoppers are connected directly to the upper lift plate using chains and S-hooks. The following

illustrations show how dump hopper chains are connected:
