Installation Operation Maintenance

Section 1

Installation Procedure

1.  Remove hardware kit from bin.

•  Legs
•  Pre-assembled snout door assembly
•  Primer
•  Silicone
•  Gasket (poly liners only)

2.  Remove bin top from bin (Do not remove the H frame

from panel).

3.  Lay bin on back, being careful to protect finish, and

remove bolts holding skid to bin.

4.  Screw legs into tapped holes in bin bottom and tighten

to seat legs against bottom. Do not over tighten or

remove the channels which are required as structural

support.

5.  Set bin upright.
6.  Reinstall top onto bin.
7.  Remove protective paper from stainless steel exterior.
8.  Move bin to permanent location.
9.  Adjust “foot” at bottom of each leg to level bin in both

directions.

10.  When provided install gasket on bin and mount ice

machine(s) on bin in accordance with ice machine

instructions.

11. Connect drain line to 1” FPT female fitting located in

bottom of bin.

NOTE: DO NOT twist or turn factory installed drain. If the seal

is broken during installation use NSF approved silicone to

re-seal before using bin (allow silicone to dry for full 24 hours

before using).

12. Using the primer provided, clean the area around the

opening and the flat surface of the snout.

13. Place the top channel of the snout in the opening of the

bin and push up to secure in place.

14. Drop the bottom channel of the snout into the opening.
15. Using the silicone provided, apply a generous amount

around the inside AND outside perimeter of the snout.

16. Smooth the silicone edge to create a thorough seal.

An insufficient silicone seal will result in leaking.

17. Allow silicone to dry for 24 hours before using the bin.
18. Make the final connections to the ice machine.

Drain Requirements

•  Bin drain termination must have an air gap.
•  Drain lines must have a 1.5 inch drop per 5 feet of run

(2.5 cm per meter), and must not create traps.

•  The floor drain must be large enough to accommodate

drainage from all drains.

•  Run separate bin and ice machine drain lines and insulate

to prevent condensation.

Baffle Operation

The baffle controls the flow of ice into lower door assembly

area for removal with either a scoop or shovel. The baffle

can also be adjusted and locked at one of several levels to

accommodate flow characteristics of different types of ice.
The baffle can be raised/lowered and locked to control flow

or when more access is needed

FOR MORE ICE

If more ice is needed in lower door area:

1.  Release latches at each side of the baffle to gently lift

and jiggle the baffle to encourage ice to flow into access

area of the bin. (Loose ice will cascade into lower door

area.)

2.  When adequate ice has flowed, lower the baffle back

down.

FOR MORE ACCESS

When more access is needed or to encourage flow:

1.  Lock baffle at a higher level by releasing the latches on

each side and holding the baffle at correct level.

2.  To lower release latches on each side of baffle, lower to

position and release latches to lock in place.
