7. Functional

Check

7.1

Intervals

Carry out a functional check on the unit at
least every 6 months.

If you find a defect during the functional
check, SOMNO

vent

S should not be reused

until the defect has been remedied.

7.2

Method

Assemble SOMNO

vent

S with the hose

system

, exhalation system

and the

power supply cable

ready for operation.

Close the opening of the exhalation
system, e.g. with your thumb or hand.

Press the on/off switch

to switch the

unit on.

If softstart is switched on, briefly press
the softstart button

to switch

softstart off.

Now watch the display.

The pressure level changes after a few
seconds. After several cycles, compare
the displayed IPAP and EPAP values with
the prescribed values. Deviations should
not be more than max. ± 1 mbar.

Press the softstart button

to switch

softstart on.

The softstart display

appears and the

LC display

indicates softstart.

Switch the unit off with the button

Assemble the nasal mask.

Switch the unit on again with the
button
