12.3 Storing breathing circuits
Storing reusable breathing circuits
Requirement • The reusable breathing circuit has been cleaned and
disinfected
(see "8 Hygienic reprocessing", page 171) .
1. Connect the reusable breathing circuit to the device and store
in the protective bag
or
Store the reusable breathing circuit in dry, sealed packaging.
Result The reusable breathing circuit is kept dry during storage.
Storing disposable breathing circuits
1. Store the reusable breathing circuit and disposable
components in dry, sealed packaging
Result The disposable breathing circuit is kept dry during storage.
Material damage due to incorrectly stored breathing circuit!
Material changes can result from incorrect storage of the
breathing circuit.

In the case of reusable breathing circuits: Also observe storage
periods and maintenance intervals for breathing circuits in
storage.

In the case of disposable breathing circuits: Only store until the
expiry date.

Store breathing circuits in a dry place.

Protect silicone and rubber parts from UV light and direct
sunlight.
