If you forgot to use the closure plug during
cleaning, with the result that water has got
into the pressure measurement opening of the
inlet and outlet connection stub, you need to
dry the breath humidifier as follows:
1. Insert the red drying adapter

((supplied
with your therapy unit) onto the breath hu-
midifier.
2. Fit the breath humidifier with the red
drying adapter onto the therapy unit.
3. Activate drying mode by pressing the
keys Softstart and On/off simul-
taneously (see “Hygienic preparation” of
the operating instructions for the therapy
unit).
The unit now switches on and dries the
breath humidifier. The remaining time is
displayed. The system switches off auto-
matically after appr. 30 minutes.
4. Press the locking button

and detach the
air humidifier from the drying adapter.
5. Remove the drying adapter from the ther-
apy unit by turning slightly.
We recommend replacing plastic parts after
max 2 years' service for reasons of hygiene.
5.3 Descaling
If scale can be seen on the base of the hous-
ing

and the heating element

:
1. Add appr. 150 ml of pure domestic vin-
egar (5% solution, without additives) to
the base of the breath humidifier and al-
low to take effect for one hour.
2. Pour away the vinegar solution.
