5.1 Assembly guidelines
•
Attach the measuring rail (1) using the two Allen
hexagon screws (2). The measuring rail (1) is used
to determine the length of the DIN rail.
•
Screw the hand lever (3) into the corresponding
hole in the eccentric (4). Pull the lever (3) down-
wards in order to make a cut.
•
This tool is designed to be used as a desktop unit.
The tool must have a strong, force-fit connection to
the workbench.
5.2 Cutting
When cutting, read the measurement to the right of
the slider (5) (marked with SCHNEIDEN), then place
the mounting rail from the front against the limit stop
Pull the lever (3) towards you and down; after cut-
ting, return the lever to its starting position.
6.
Work safety
The following notes on work safety concern funda-
mental statements relating to possible dangers when
using the cutting and punching device. These notes
must be adhered to by operating personnel.
The cutting and punching device is to be mounted
horizontally onto a bench in a manner that rules out
it being unintentionally tipped, or allowed to fall down
when being operated.
It must be observed that there is an increased risk of
injury when processing parts that protrude out of the
device; prevent others from entering into this area.
It is not permitted to operate this cutting and punch-
ing device on top of moving equipment (hoisting
platforms, motor vehicles).
Ensure that there is always sufficient lighting when
operating the cutting and punching device.
Observe the operating radius of the lever when us-
ing the cutting and punching device.
Never cut or punch more than one profile at a time.
Only personnel who have read the operating manual
are to be allowed to operate the mounting-rail cutting
and punching device without supervision.
The operator must ensure that he does not endan-
ger others.
The mounting-rail cutting and punching device must
immediately be taken out of service and returned to
the manufacturer for maintenance or repair should
faults or damage to the device impair its operating
safety.
