The machine has to be set up in the following situations:
– If a different type of wire-end ferrule has to be processed
– Every time the machine is put into operation
If you want to switch to another type of wire-end ferrule,
you must first remove all of the wire-end ferrules still in the
crimping unit. To do this, please proceed as follows:
► Remove the wire-end ferrule reel.
► Continue to insert the used wire into the machine until
the wire is only stripped.
Now all wire-end ferrules are removed from the inside of
the crimping unit.
During set-up, the following settings must be checked and
adjusted if necessary:
– Wire-end ferrule role
– Ferrule cross section
– Only RS: Crimp length at four positions (s. section 5.3)
The machine must be switched off for setting up.
The adjustment table on the inner side of the front plate
shows the required settings for the various ferrule variants.

5.1 Inserting wire-end ferrules
► Set up the wire-end ferrule role (1) so that clockwise un-
rolling is ensured.
► Turn the lock (2) on the front plate (3) to open it.
The transport bolt (4) in the transport unit must be fully un-
derneath.
The transport bolt is pressed downwards by a spring.
If it is not fully down:
► Check if the transport bolt is blocked, and remove the
block if necessary.
► Push the wire-end ferrule belt into the transport unit just
until the lowest sheath latches in
► Check for firm fitting by pulling the wire-end ferrule belt
carefully.
► Close the front plate using the front plate lock.
► Roll up the loose wire-end ferrule belt.
