8.2 Remote control
You can remotely control the USM 100 by means of a
connected Computer.
The data transfer is carried out by means of a terminal
program and the corresponding remote control codes.
These commands represent instructions referring to the
individual functions of the instrument.
The factory-set default interface configuration is as fol-
lows:
● 57600 baud rate
● 8 data bits, 1 stop bit
● No parity
The commands are input via computer keyboard after
starting the remote control program and configuring the
program interface. In this process, a difference must be
made between:
● Inquiry of the value or status of a function by means
of the command structure:
<COMMAND><RETURN>
The USM 100 will send the current value.
● Input of a new value or status of a function by means
of the command structure:
<COMMAND><SPACE><VALUE><RETURN>
Note
All values are input or sent by the USM 100
without a decimal point. It is therefore neces-
sary to observe the resolution of the function
in question with all values (see column
De-
scription in the following table).
