5.33 Scanning and evaluation

Note

For the operation of the scanner system, 
please refer to the operating manuals of the 
devices used.

Scan panel

The USM 100 provides a specific scan panel for scan-
ner system operation with B-scan and C-scan evalua-
tion (see page 218). By using the function groups in the 
A-scan view (1), the display range and the gate position 
can be set for each inspection (see from page 125). For 
example, the display range can be set related to the ma-
terial thickness, and the gate can be moved to the area 
of interest from which the amplitude or the TOF should 
be displayed in the C-scan.

The display ranges of both the B-scan and the C-scan 
are aligned (3). The current position of the probe (X-axis 
and Y-axis) is always displayed (2).
