Installing the Speaker Array
1. Gather the speakers, drivers, and mounting hardware.

2 speakers (1 set)

2 drivers per speaker set

2 driver covers per speaker set

Hardware kit including quick disconnect

2 speaker cables per speaker set (Cable is sold separately. Please refer to
Chapter 5, Connecting Cables to Electronics Components for more
information.)

Other hardware as determined by the installer
2. The Hardware Kit includes crimp-on quick connects that must be installed on the
speaker cables. Follow the directions below to install the crimp-on quick
connects.
a. Strip the back outer sheath approximately 4 inches (10 cm) to allow for
connection to both driver pins.
b. Strip approximately.25 inch (60 mm) of each lead.
c. Insert the wire into the provided quick connects and crimp in place with a
high-quality crimp tool.
3. Thread the connector end of the speaker cable through the opening inside the
speaker recess to the driver area (see Figure 3.1) Be sure to mark both ends of the
cable to ensure proper connection to the amp. Refer to Chapter 5, Connecting
Cables to Electronics Components for more information
The pole diameter must be a minimum 4.5 inches (11 cm); outside diameter
(OD); Maximum 6 inches OD (15.25 cm)
INSTALLER MUST USE HARDWARE KIT P/N CAB-SPKR-KIT WHEN
CONNECTING THE SPEAKER ARRAY. THE HARDWARE KIT INCLUDES
APPROVED CABLE AND DRIVER CONNECTIONS.
Ensure the wire is fully inserted prior to crimping and that no loose wire
strands are present. Test each connection by pulling on the connector to
ensure the crimping procedure what done correctly.
The mounting bolts must be installed before the drivers are mounted.
