SECTION 1:
General Information
1.1 Introduction
The information in this Section provides a guide to the operation of Benchmark Boilers using the
Edge Controller. In addition, it provides information on numerous types of external sensors and
control devices that can interface to the unit using terminals provided in the
boiler’s Input/Output
(I/O) Box. Information regarding the set-up of all boiler Operating Modes, as well as Boiler
Sequencing Technology (BST) Systems of units is also included.
NOTE:
Starting in Section 2, the instructions in this document are based on the assumption that you
are already familiar with the Edge Controller interface and can navigate through the menus
and screens, enable/disable functions, make selections, edit parameters, and return to the
Main Menu, etc., without detailed instructions. This section provides an introduction to
navigating through the Controller’s screens and how use the various components in them.
1.2 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
It is imperative that the initial startup of Benchmark units be performed by factory trained
personnel. Operation prior to initial startup by factory trained personnel will void the equipment
warranty. In addition, the following
