2. Disconnect the D-XJG power and data cables from the DigiVAC.
3. Place the D-XJG upside down on a suitable surface so as not to damage
the unit.
4. Remove the M6 hex head screw, shake-proof washer and flat washer from
the pivot shaft.
5. Remove the five M5 button screws that secure the motor panel to the elec-
trical box and remove the panel.
6. Connect the interface cable to the DigiVAC.
7. Run the collator with all the bins switched off.
8. Using the meter, check the voltage between pin 7 (green) and pin 4 (or-
ange) of PL3 on the XJG control PCB. When the collator is running (when
the D-XJG would normally be vibrating) the reading should be nearly 5V.
When the collator is not running the reading should be nearly 0V.
9. If there is no reading there is either a connection problem between the col-
lator and jogger or the output of the DigiVAC Base Control PCB 900-176
is faulty.
10. If the voltage reading is correct then relay RLY3 on the XJG control PCB
should be audibly switching when the collator runs.
11. If the relay is switching, check the 100K vibration control potentiometer:
Disconnect the D-XJG from the collator. Disconnect PL2 and measure the
resistance across the connector terminals.
• When the potentiometer is turned fully clockwise, the resistance
should be 0
Ω.
• When the potentiometer is turned fully anti-clockwise, the resistance
should be 100K
Ω
.
12. If all of the above test correctly then the problem is either with the vibrator
electro magnet or the output section of the XJG Control PCB.
3.10.1 Description
The Straight Jogger (DJGR) was replaced by the Adjustable Height Straight
Jogger (AJGR) in July 2003.
Apart from variable height adjustment, the modules are functionally the same.
The Straight Jogger requires a separate mains input supply. Power to the Jog-
ger is switched and fused at the mains input (3.15A, HRC, anti-surge, T). The
