Procedure - Top Drum Conveyor Belts
1. Disconnect the DigiVAC from the mains power supply.
2. Remove the top cover from the top module (6 screws)
3. Remove the 2 screws which secure the top conveyor assembly, then pivot
the top conveyor assembly up (see Figure 3:4).
4. Remove the circlip from the L/H end of the top drum shaft. Slide the drum
to the left.
5. Slide all belts off the R/H end of the drum
6. Lift the drum clear. Note: the bearing in the sideplate will come out also.
7. Remove the top drum idler shaft: remove the e-clip at the L/H end of the
shaft, push the shaft to the left and lift the right end clear.
8. Remove the belts and replace with new.
9. Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.
Procedure - Top Conveyor Assembly Belts
1. Disconnect the DigiVAC from the mains power supply.
2. Remove the top cover from the top module (6 screws)
3. Remove the 2 screws which secure the top conveyor assembly, then pivot
the top conveyor assembly up (see Figure 3:4).
4. Remove the 2 screws which secure the top assembly pivot shaft.
5. Lift the assembly clear and withdraw the pivot shaft.
6. The belts can now be replaced.
7. Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.
3.3.1 Removing the Control Panel (DigiVAC Standard)
To gain access for certain service procedures, or replace a main control PCB,
it is necessary to remove the control panel assembly.
This procedure applies only to the DigiVAC standard. The GUI control panel
for the is mounted directly on the side cover, and only requires
unplugging.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the DigiVAC from the mains power supply.
2. Remove the bottom bin module side cover on the L/H side of the machine.
3. Undo the two M5 retaining screws and remove the control panel bezel
plate.
4. Undo the four M4 counter sunk retaining screws from beneath the lower
control panel plate, and remove the plate.
5. Disconnect the cables from the under side of the control panel.
6. Undo the 3 M5 cap retaining screws and remove the control panel from the
joint plate. Carefully pass the control panel connection cables through the
access hole at the back of the panel as you remove it.
7. Replace the panel in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
