1.3.4 Flow path
When the 2414 RI detector is acquiring data, its normal configuration for flow allows
mobile phase to pass through the sample flow cell and then to waste or to the recycle
valve.
During analysis, the solvent sample takes this path:
1. Enters through the inlet tubing port.
2. Passes through the inlet tube of the countercurrent heat exchanger.
3. Flows through the end-cap heat exchanger.
4. Flows through the sample side of the flow cell.
5. Exits though the outlet tube of the countercurrent heat exchanger.
6. Passes through the solenoid valve and recycle valve to the waste tubing.
