WAMFLO
®
is a range of dust collectors are used for both venting and suction applications.
The filters consist of:
- round stainless steel body;
- vertically mounted filter elements;
- air jet cleaning system.
The
WAMFLO
®
filters can be used for any kind of application in all industrial sectors.
The technical characteristics along with the compressed air cleaning system make the WAMFLO FOOD range
suitable to continuous-type operation.
For dimensional requirements, it is sometimes necessary to insert the filter elements in the silo/hopper to be
de-dusted.
For this reason the range of “INSERTABLE” filters does not have a body as to limit the height.
All dimensions are expressed in mm unless otherwise specified.
The dust separated from the air flow by specific filter elements drops back into the silo, hopper or bin after an
integrated automatic pulse-jet cleaning system inside the weather protection cover has removed it from the
filter elements.
Important
The terms “equipment”, “filter”, "dust collector" used in this manual refer to the same machine.
It is forbidden to start the equipment unless the machine/plant in which it is to be installed has been
declared compliant with the Directive 2006/42/EC and further modifications.
3.1 General description of the equipment
The machine was designed and built for use in an area classified as zone 22 or 21, or non classified in accord
-
ance with the ATEX Directive.
Before starting up the plant in which the filter has been installed, the user must ensure that it has been properly
set in safety conditions as regards the risk of explosion and also that the "document on explosion protection"
has been prepared as required by the ATEX Directive.
WAMFLO
®
ATEX
is designed and manufactured so as to avoid abnormal overheating during operation.
For a safe operation, ensure the dust handled has a minimum ignition temperature higher than the rated value
plus the safety margin indicated by the EN 1127, see table at point 3.3:
- The filter must be installed so that there is left enough space around for normal assembly / disassembly,
cleaning and maintenance.
- If the machine is used with high temperature materials, e.g..over 60 °C, the installer must insulate the filter
or install mechanical barriers to prevent personnel from coming into contact with the hot parts. Provide also
alerts and warning symbols.
3.2 Indications for use
