9.3. Service and Repair
Service warning indicator: The LCD display shown in fig 30
will show “Ser” when a
recommended service is required at 56,000 cycles. For safety, performance and
reliability reasons’ the machine must be serviced when indicated or at least annually,
whichever comes first.
Note: Service warning indicator reset: Press & hold buttons 3&5 together for 4
seconds.
Any service or repair work must be done by a qualified engineer. During the warranty
period, the service or repair must only be done by a Wallgate engineer or appointed
service agent. Refer to the Wallgate terms and conditions for warranty information.
Warning! Risk of electric shock, serious injury or death. Only qualified
personnel should remove the cover of the Control Module when powered up.
9.4. Soap replenishment
The soap bottle is hung from the soap bracket that can be fitted in optional locations
on the unit rear cabinet. The position of the soap container will have been decided
during installation for best location. Remove the empty container & place the clear
tubing into the new container of soap ensuring it reaches to the bottom. Hang the
container back onto its fixing bracket. A range of recommended soaps and their
specification are available direct from Wallgate. For Police holding cells the
recommended
soap type is Wallgate SA2092
that includes an addictive to deter
human consumption.
PSH units are fitted with a soap system-priming switch that is operated by pressing
the button on the underside of the handwash unit. Press the soap prime button until
soap begins to consistently dispense from the basin nozzle.
Soap levels should be checked periodically depending on usage to maintain efficient
operation of the unit. The system should be periodically washed through with warm
water to remove any solidified soap within the tubing & nozzle as follows: Remove
the soap tube from the soap container, place the free end of soap tube into a
container of WARM water & using a continuous press of Soap Prime button, flush
WARM water through the system.
