5. Controls
IMPORTANT! Before starting work with the wood splitter,
become familiar with the location and function of all
controls.
5.1 Engine
Refer to the Honda™ GC160 engine manual that came with this
product for further explanation on engine controls.

5.1.1 Choke Lever
The choke lever opens and closes the choke valve in the
carburetor.
•
Pull out the choke control when starting a cold engine.
•
Push the control in after the engine starts. When restarting
a warm engine, leave the lever pushed in.

5.1.2 Throttle Lever
This lever controls the engine speed. Move the lever up to
increase or down to decrease engine rpm. Always operate the
wood splitter with the throttle lever in the MAX position.
Push the lever all the way down to shut off the engine.
