3. Functions
This chapter provides an overview of the
functions of the module.

3.1 LUM CONNECT TALK
Changing presence of employees in offices
and the use of presence- and daylight-
dependent luminaires lead to the formation
of so-called “light islands“: The employee's
desk is illuminated while the rest of the
room is not illuminated.
The TALK module enables luminaires to
communicate with one another. Insular
lighting is now therefore a thing of the past.
To this end, luminaires are assigned to
diverse areas and groups via the module.
As an alternative, an automatic grouping
of the luminaires via the module can be
done. If the luminaire of a group detects
the presence of employees, it reports the
information to the other group members.
They illuminate the direct office environ-
ment on a pleasant basic level.
The swarm control starts automatically
as soon as the module is connected. If
required, you can adjust the swarm con-
trol to your needs. Configuration can be
performed using the LIGHT ADMIN App or
directly on the modules of the luminaires.
