The synchronization process is then completed and the WAGO I/O-IPC can be
rebooted for update.
5.3 Automatic Update of the System
The easiest way to remotely reboot the device and start the actual update
procedure is by executing the following command:
/sbin/reboot
.
When restarting the WAGO-I/O-IPC, the update files are automatically copied
to the appropriate directories. The copying process, which takes about 1
minute to complete, can be displayed on a DVI monitor.
After the update has successfully completed, the update files are automatically
deleted from the file system and the WAGO-I/O-IPC can be rebooted with the
updated software.
Both network settings and application program remain unchanged so that the
application can start running immediately after the last restart.
