Operating Elements

You can use the coding switch located on the side of the PROFIsafe I/O module
to set the PROFIsafe address.

Figure 11: Coding switch for the PROFIsafe address (set to 1018)

Coding switch is inaccessible when the I/O module is plugged in!

To set the PROFIsafe address on the coding switch, you must power down the
fieldbus node and then unplug the I/O module from the fieldbus node.

Set the PROFIsafe address as described in the section "Setting the PROFIsafe
Address".
