This digital input/output module 4DIO 24V DC 0.2A HS (4xM12), item no. 767-
5401, is used to read binary signals from sensors resp. send to actuators with short
cycle times. Providing high speed inputs/outputs, the module can operate with
ETHERNET based field busses, e.g. sercos.
It can be operated in four modes:
•
DI mode
Operation as digital input module (all channels).
This mode is used to evaluate digital sensors.
•
DO mode
Operation as a digital output module (all channels).
This mode is used to control actuators.
•
DIO mode
Combined operation with digital inputs and outputs (parametrizable per
channel).
This mode combines inputs and outputs on one module.
In this delivery status all channels are set as digital inputs.
•
DIO mode + 1 counter
Combined operation with digital inputs and outputs with a counter function.
The counter can be configured as an event counter, gate time counter or pulse
width counter.
The module has many parameterization options for individual channels and for
the entire module that can be carried out via the device description files of a
fieldbus, e.g. GSD, SDDML, or field bus independent via an FDT/DTM
application, e.g. WAGOframe. Detailed information about setting the module
parameters using a fieldbus can be found in the corresponding manual (e.g.
PROFIBUS Fieldbus Coupler 767-1101).
Detailed information regarding the properties of the module is available in
Section "Technical Data".
