8DIO FLD EC DC 24V 2.0A
You can find the connection assignment for the ETHERNET ports under
8
.
If you do not use a pre-assembled ETHERNET cable, a shielded M12 plug with protec-
tion type IP 67 should be connected to it.
For a cable that is pre-assembled on one end only (e.g., item no. 756-1201/060-xxx), pro-
ceed as follows to connect it to an RJ45 plug (e.g., item no. 750-975):

Because the Auto MDI(X) functionality is enabled for the respective ETHERNET connec-
tion, a crossover cable is not necessary. This functionality automatically detects the direc-
tion for sending data and receiving data, so it is irrelevant which cable type is used
(crossed or uncrossed).
Connecting an Individual Product to an ETHERNET Network
To connect the product to the ETHERNET network, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the power supply from the equipment parts on which you have mounted
the module.
2. Connect the port of the EtherCAT
®
master to X21 (IN) of the EtherCAT
®
slave using
an ETHERNET cable.
3. Tighten the pluggable connector using the knurled-head screw.
Connecting Multiple Products to One ETHERNET Network
The fieldbus module of the WAGO I/O System Field has two connections, IN and OUT, to
allow wiring of a line topology.
Multiple products can be connected to the ETHERNET network as shown in the following
example:
1. De-energize the section of your system on which you wish to mount the product.
2. Connect the port of the EtherCAT
®
master to X21 (IN) of the first EtherCAT
®
slave us-
ing an ETHERNET cable. Then tighten the plugs of the ETHERNET cable.
3. Next, use an ETHERNET cable to connect the X22 (OUT) terminal of the first Ether-
CAT
®
slave to X21 (IN) of the next EtherCAT
®
slave. Then tighten the plugs of the
ETHERNET cable.
4. For each additional EtherCAT
®
slave, connect its OUT to the IN of the following slave.
The EtherCAT
®
modules of the WAGO I/O System Field are wired in a line topology, as
shown in the following figure:
