9 Troubleshooting
Please refer to the following tables if the machine does not work properly. They
contain potential faults, their causes and remedies.
An LED makes troubleshooting easier.
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Inverter in operation.
LED lights red and green. - Excessive current consump-
tion of connected machines.
- Inverter operates within the
permissible overload range.
Reduce the current consump-
tion of the connected machines.
Inverter not in operation.
LED lights red. - Input voltage too high
(> 275 V) or too low
(< 155 V).
- Fluctuating input voltage.
Inverter starts automatically as
soon as the correct line voltage
is available (again).
Inverter not in operation.
LED flashes red. - Short circuit in one of the
connected machines.
- 2-phase operation* in one of
the connected machines.
- Mechanical defect in one of
the connected machines.
* 2-phase operation: The connected machine only uses 2 phases for current intake. Therefore, the en-
gine does not turn. The connected machine hums and heats up quickly due to the high current con-
sumption.
1. Carry out a reset:
Switch off the inverter and
switch it on again.
2. Disconnect the connected
machines and check them.
3. Repeat reset.
Short circuit in inverter. 1. Disconnect connected ma-
chines.
2. Carry out a reset:
Switch off the inverter and
switch it on again.
3. If the error persists, have the
inverter repaired. **
** Have the machine repaired by your WACKER representative.
Inverter not in operation.
LED flashes red twice. Inverter has switched off due to
excess temperature (> 85 °C). 1. Allow the inverter to cool
down while the ventilator is
running.
Do not switch off the inverter!
2. Carry out a reset:
Switch off the inverter and
switch it on again.
Reduce the current consump-
tion of the connected machines.
Thumbwheel jammed. Thumbwheel dirty. Remove dirt.
No air escapes from the ventila-
tor outlet. - Ventilator turns too slowly.
- Ventilator does not turn. Have the ventilator repaired. **
