EATURES

This section provides an overview of the DW 208’s config-
uration and operating features.

Covers

The DW 208 has 5 safety covers. The covers must be in 
place at all times while operating the machine. Open the 
covers only to remove/install the cutting wire or to perform 
maintenance. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the 
machine before opening any of the covers.

• The front cover, over the drive wheel, is secured 

with a locking latch.

• The 2 wire channel covers on the arm assemblies are 

secured with locking latches.

• The 2 idler wheel covers are secured by the wire 

channel covers. Close the wheel covers first, then 
close and latch the wire channel covers.
