User Preferences
On the User Preferences page, you can configure some basic settings for the phone and
set hold reminder and call waiting settings. The User Preferences page is also available to
phone users when they log on to the WebUI.
The user preference settings are also available as parameters in the configuration file. See
“user_pref Module: User Preference Settings” on page 177 .
General User Settings
Click the link for each setting to see the matching configuration file parameter in
“Configuration File Parameter Guide” on page 136 . Default values and ranges are listed
there.
Setting Description
WebUI Language Sets the language that appears on the WebUI.
Phone Language Sets the language that appears on the phone. Other
languages may be added in a future release.
Backlight Timer (secs) Sets how long (in seconds) the screen backlight stays on
after the last button press.
Ringer Volume Sets the ringer volume for incoming calls. You can also use
the VOLUME

keys on the VSP736.
Default Audio Mode Sets how calls are answered when users press a line key
