The BioSans XR3D Calibration application generates 3 different matrices for each material.
The matrices calculate the effective atomic number associated to attenuation.
16. The Configuration application automatically saves the matrices TXT files in the
Input/BIOSANS
folder with the other configuration files.
17. Click OK to continue.
18. Click Exit to close the application.
19. Go to
C:\Program Files\VOTI\BioSansXDAQ\Input\BIOSANS\XData
and rename
the files,
X4.txt
,
X5.txt
, and
X6.txt
to a backup name, for example,
Copy_of_X4.txt
.
20. Rename the resulting XData files located in
c:\Program Files\VOTI\BioSansXDAQ\
Output\Archive
. For example,
X1bin.xmat to X4.txt
X2bin.xmat to X5.txt
X3bin.xmat to X6.txt
21. Move the new TXT files from the Archive folder and paste them into the
Input\BIOSANS\XData
folder.
22. After completing the re-calibration, remove the tape placed over the sensor inside the tunnel.
3.8 Realign the X-ray Source
CAUTION: NEVER move the source while it is generating X-rays. Always stop the source to do
the adjustment.
Tests are to be conducted by a Certified Radiation Technician. Leaded apron, gloves, and
X-ray protective glasses are not required during the validation tests.
Tools:
UL Certified Calibrated Dosimeter, noting the Model and Serial Number and the
last calibration date, and the due calibration date on the Test Report.
Software applications, DIOX and VOTI's Diagnostic Tool, to trigger the generation
of X-rays and enter the test values.
1. A VOTI-certified technician logs on using Administrator permission to access the Windows
TM
desktop.
2. Click on DIOX shortcut (
c:\Program Files\VOTI\BioSansXDAQ\DIOX.exe
) to start
the DIOX application.
