Troubleshooting

MID 140 SID 253 Calibration Memory, EEPROM

T2012704

General information

At start-up a check sum is calculated for the data set in
the instrument cluster’s EEPROM memory. This is com-
pared with a previously stored check sum to check that
the data set is correct.

Component: A03 Instrument cluster

Fault code

FMI 2

Intermittent or incorrect data.

Conditions for fault code:

•

If the content of the memory circuit is faulty the in-
strument cluster interprets this as a fault and a fault
code is set.

Possible cause:

Error when programming.

•

Fault in the memory circuit.
