2001 Volvo S40 & V40 

· Press in the catch with a flat screwdriver and remove the lens. 

· Pull the bulb out of the holder and replace it. 

· Press the glass lens into position. 

 

Replacing number plate lighting - V 40 
Switch off all lights and remove the ignition key. Remove the screws and take out the lamp housing. 
Replace bulb. Reinstall and screw the lamp housing into place again. NOTE: Other bulbs may be 
difficult for the owner to replace. Let your Volvo retailer replace these bulbs if necessary.
