To avoid any such possible problems, Voltech strongly recommends that
you take the following normal precautions:
1. All other applications should be closed or at least be inactive while a
test is running. If the programs are left running but not used, features
such as ‘Auto-save’ should be disabled.
2. System features that may interrupt normal operation such as screen
savers, battery management (laptops) and the Windows ’95 ‘system
agent’ should be disabled.
3. Networking ‘shares’ should be disabled or remain inactive. A network
user accessing the PCs’ local disk or printer may interrupt
communications.
4. Do not use the host PC for any type of shared printer.
5. Disable any internal modem that has auto-answer features.
