GETTING STARTED

a) Connecting the mains adapter, switching on the meter

Connect the low-voltage plug of the provided mains adapter to the corresponding socket (6) on the ambient
air indicator. Then connect the mains adapter with the cable provided  to the mains outlet of the public
power supply.
Turn on the ambient air indicator via the on/off switch (5) (position “I”). All display segments appear brie

fl

 y.

b) Warm-up phase

After it is turned on, the ambient air indicator is in the warm-up phase; this lasts at most 60 seconds at an
ambient temperature of +22 °C. During this time, the ambient air indicator cannot display reliable results
on the display.

c) Measuring carbon dioxide levels, temperature and relative humidity

After the warm-up phase (max. 60 s), the ambient air indicator is in automatic measurement mode. The
carbon dioxide content is shown in the upper display (7) in ppm, the room temperature in the display to the
lower left (10), and the room humidity in the display to the lower right (11).

The correct display of the carbon dioxide content is also dependent on the air circulation in the
room; it can take a few minutes for the display to stabilise. The same is true for the display of the
temperature and humidity.

For a CO

2

content >3000 ppm, “Hi” is shown in the display.

In the display area for the humidity, „Lo“ appears for a humidity <20% and „Hi“ for a humidity >90%.

d) Air quality display in traf

fi

 c light colours

The air quality is displayed via a traf

fi

c light display with 3 coloured LEDs. The following displays are

possible:
Green:   The CO

2

content is less than 800 ppm. The air quality is good.

Yellow:

The CO

2

content is between 800 and 1500 ppm. Air quality is ok. Ventilating the room soon is

recommended.

Red:

The

CO

2

content is more than 1500 ppm. Air quality is bad. The room needs to be ventilated.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The device requires no servicing on your part apart from occasional cleaning.
Use a soft, antistatic and lint-free cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners.
Do not apply too much pressure on the display, to avoid scratch marks.

DISPOSAL

Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the household

waste! Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regula-
tions.
