2801/2802 Power Analyzer User Guide 

 
Result Averaging  

All final results may be averaged using a 2-pole filter with a user selectable 
time constant of between 10ms and 5s. 

 

Input Sampling  

All inputs within same channel are always sampled simultaneously. Sampling 
is short-term quasi-randomly dithered by up to 0.5% and long-term 
synchronized to the selected input signal to within 0.001%. Nominal sampling 
rate is 235kSPS. 

 

Integration  

Most results are available as integrated, maximum value, minimum value and 
average values over a user defined integration period (between user start and 
stop actions). 

The DC voltage and current measurement results are also integrated 
separately depending on the polarity of the DC current and are made available 
as the Charge and Discharge integrated results. 

 

History Charts  

Most results are available as a history chart. The chart data is stored every 
measurement period. The last 512 measurements are always available, the 
prior 2,048 are stored as the average or the maximum value (as applicable) 
over sets of 4 measurements. The prior 8,192 are stored as the average or the 
maximum value (as applicable) over sets of 16 measurements. The prior 
32,768 are stored as the average or the maximum value (as applicable) over 
sets of 64 measurements, and so on until a maximum of 89,478,144 total 
measurements have been collected. When full, the oldest data point is 
discarded.
