In case of nausea, headaches, vision problems
(e.g. reduced field of vision), hearing problems,
dizziness, reduced concentration capacity, stop work
immediately. These symptoms can be caused by too
high concentrations of exhaust gases.
The combustion engine produces poisonous exhaust
gases as soon as it starts working. These gases contain
toxic carbon monoxide, a colourless and odourless gas
as well as other harmful materials. The combustion
engine must never be operated in enclosed or poorly
ventilated spaces.
The control and safety devices installed must not be
removed or inhibited.
During operation, the generator can never be lifted,
pushed or pulled.
Start-up:
Switch on the generator carefully following the
operating instructions in the instruction manual. Using
the generator according to these instructions reduces
the risk of injury.
When the recoil starter returns to its original
position, the hand and arm are quickly moved
towards the combustion engine. This retraction may
cause fractures, bruises and sprains.
The devices shall be connected to the generator only
after the combustion engine is running.
The charge connected to the generator shall be in
accordance with the capacity of the generator.
Overloading the generator will damage it or shorten its
service life.
The generator must not work at speeds for which it has
not been designed for. Working at speeds above those
foreseen by the manufacturer will increase the danger
of injury to the user and damage to the equipment.
Do not overlay the generator while it is running. In order
to avoid fire risks, the ventilation and exhaust outputs
should remain unobstructed.
Do not modify parts that could increase or lower the
speed set by the manufacturer.
Use at work:
Switch off the combustion engine if:
▪
Whenever you intend to physically move away from
the generator or if it is not being watched over;
▪
Before you refuel the tank. Refill only when the
combustion engine is cold;
Switch off the combustion engine and remove the spark
plug cap from the spark plug:
▪
Before tilting, lifting, loading or transporting the
generator;
▪
Before the generator is inspected, cleaned or before
repair work is carried out.
Unplug all equipment connected to the generator
before disconnecting it.
Maintenance and cleaning
For the generator
’s
maintenance, we present some
safety norms. However, as it is not possible to mention
all possible risks during maintenance work, only the
user can decide whether or not to carry out the task.
For maintenance and cleaning work, changing
accessories as well as transporting the generator,
always wear gloves.
Before starting cleaning, adjustment, repair and
maintenance work:
▪
Place the generator on a firm, flat floor;
▪
Switch off the combustion engine and let it cool
down;
▪
Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug;
Keep the spark plug cap away from the spark plug,
as an unintended ignition spark can cause burns
or electric shocks. An inadvertent contact of the spark
plug with the spark plug cap may lead to an involuntary
start of the combustion engine.
Allow the generator to cool down in particular,
before performing maintenance work, in the area
of the combustion engine, exhaust manifold and
muffler. Temperatures of 80° C and higher can be
reached.
Check the generator frequently, especially before
storage (e.g. before the winter period) regarding wear
and damage.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately for
safety reasons so that the generator is always in safe
operating condition.
