User and patient safety
a. Please read these instructions for use before using the lift and keep them for
future reference
b. Do not step on the footrests before getting on or off the patient lift.
c. Lock the brakes when getting on or off the patient lift!
d. Do not step on the footrests before getting on or off the patient lift.
e. Do not move the lift with the user.
f. The Lift is not intended to be used to transport a patient up stairs, as a stretcher or
by hoisting the patient on it. The structure of the lift and the connecting parts are
not designed for such high loads if used in this way. This may weaken or damage
the entire load-bearing structure and cause an accident!
g. The lift is designed for indoor use on paved and level surfaces only.
h. Only use the lift on surfaces where all four wheels of the lift touch the ground.
i. Do not leave the jack in the immediate vicinity of an open flame source.
j. Please note that the surface temperature of the seat and frame parts may increase
when exposed to the sun or other heat source, and there is a danger of very high
cooling of the metal parts of the lift in cold weather. This can cause burns or frost-
bite to body parts.
k. The lift should be carried by a minimum of two people grasping the frame struc-
ture.
l. Use extreme caution when navigating on inclined surfaces.
m. The brakes are not intended to slow the lift during movement and should only be
used to prevent unwanted movement of the lift.
n. Do not use the lift if there is any visible or perceptible damage (e.g. breakage of
the frame) as this may result in an accident.
o. Before each use, perform a visual inspection of all structural components of the
product, including:
- check the operation of the braking system. Brake by pressing the brake with
your foot.
- carefully check the stability and condition of the support frame.
p. All activities such as getting on, getting off, changing the patient’s position, toilet-
ing activities ABSOLUTELY require:
- constant assistance from the caregiver, the design of the lift does not give the
patient the ability to steer and drive the lift, and to lock or unlock the brakes. -
