Patient transport to an lift - simulation
The following figure shows a simulation of a patient transport on a hoist. The lift with
the restraints released has been brought to the patient, who is symbolized by the
figure with the dotted line. Movable hand supports, integrated into the seat, make it
possible to adjust the position of the lift to the patient’s position without exposing
the patient to undue difficulty and effort. During transport, it is possible that the
patient’s pelvis will need to be raised slightly so that the seat can be placed under
the patient. Once the user is in a safe position on the lift, close the locking mecha-
nism (seat lock). The lift must have the foot brakes applied each time the patient is
transported.

patient to a given usable surface and when preparing the patient for physiological
activities.
