6.1.
Powering the Unit
Firstly, connect AC power to the unit using the supplied IEC inlet. After a few
seconds, the company logo displays, followed by the main operational
parameters menu.
CAUTION: The unit accepts AC power in the rage of 90 – 240VAC.
6.1.1.
External Connections
Ensure TX key is set to off while connecting signal sources.
For single SD/HD video requirements, connect a serial digital video source to the
SFP input 1 connector.
For multi-channel encoding, connect up to four SDI inputs.
For HEVC encoding, you must use all four ports.
CAUTION: 17V DC may be present on the L-Band output connector.
From the main menu screen, use the up / down arrow keys to select the
required parameter, press ENTER to confirm the selection or ESCAPE to cancel.
NOTE: Output level (dB) can be continually adjusted without pressing ENTER
between value changes. Press ENTER or ESCAPE to exit level
adjustment.
The output level for the unit displays in dB, relative to the maximum level, as
defined in the product specification.
The following pages summarize each menu setting.
We recommend making configuration changes for your unit via a web browser ,
as it offers more information. Web browser connection is over IP/Ethernet. front

NOTE: Before changing parameters that alter signal bandwidth Tx carrier must
be OFF. A warning displays if you attempt to change a parameter that
requires the carrier to be off.
CAUTION: Allow at least 30 seconds after changing a parameter before powering
the unit down. Not waiting could result losing in your changes.
